Reugg RIII Installation

Reugg RIII Installation

The Brief
Commissioned to design and incorporate a stove into a central media wall in an open plan new build, we worked to create this truly unique centrepiece that is sure to be the warm heart of this home!

Before
Turning a customer’s vision into reality is what we do best! Designing something for a new build gives us the added freedom of starting from scratch, so we were able to get really creative. Sitting down for a chat with customers we are able to work out what they were looking for and find a stove that was going to suit their needs, look great and keep them cosy.

For this installation, the Reugg RIII was the perfect stove for the type of space the customer was looking to create, and so from our initial discussions, our team set to work to create drawings of how the stove would look in this space.

Mock up drawings are an essential part of bespoke projects like this and this is a service that we can offer inhouse. These drawings give customers a real sense of how the stove will look, and the presence it will have in their home.

The Installation
Before we could put the stove and flue in place, we had to ensure that the ground works and venting were in place. For any stove going into a new build, external air ventilation is a requirement, so it’s important to allow for this when planning your build.

Starting with the stove and flue, we then built a vented chamber for the flue, before building the double-sided media wall. Our in-house installation team have experience in a range of trades, so were able to undertake all the joinery and building work around the stove and media wall.

The Stove
Given the open plan design of the room, the Reugg RIII, with its three-sided view of the fire was the perfect stove to use. With a rated output of 11kW, it is able to heat this very large room easily and efficiently. Its wide glass window gives an  uninterrupted view of the fire from all angles, satisfying the pyromaniac in all of us!

After
We incorporated the stove into a double-sided media wall, complete with two televisions, shelving and ample storage space. We used different finishes on either side of the media wall to create two distinct spaces, whilst also ensuring that it fit in with the design and décor of the whole area.
