RB73 fennek 80 outdoor stove. An outdoor fireplace made from CorTen steel.

The RB73 Fennek 80 fireplace is the bigger version of RB73 Fennek 50 fireplace and has been designed by well-known Dutch designer, Roderick Vos. Vos means Fox in Dutch, and ‘Fennek’ is a type of fox. When designing the RB73 Fennek 80 fireplace, Roderick wanted a unique look and so opted for clean sight lines where you can clearly see the 3mm plate thickness everywhere.

The Fennek models are modularly designed. The side panels of the Fennek 80 are the same panels as the RB73 Fennek 50 fireplace, and they have the same legs.

The Fennek models feature a 20cm stump on the stove where the pipe falls over, this way no rainwater can get into the stove, a nice practical touch.

The legs are fitted with large robust cap nuts and a stainless steel bolt so that the fireplace is free from the ground and no rust marks are left on the terrace.

The door handle is integrated into the right-hand strip of the door and there is an extra recess in the grappling hook, which can be used to open the door a little and then secure it. This position is ideal when starting the fire.

The side panels are fitted with air gaps so that the air can enter the combustion chamber in front of the glass, ensuring clean windows and a fantastic view of the fire. Furthermore, both the Fennek 50 and 80 models have a deep firing bottom, made with quality refractory concrete. The flue is crafted from the same Corten steel pipes used in the Quaruba series and the lower pipe is also supplied with an adjustable valve so that the flame image can be regulated somewhat.

Roderick did come up with a new rain hood that fits very well with the design of the stove.
This can also be retrofitted as an option with a spark catcher (as is the same with the Quaruba models)
